Elder Organ's Second (And Final) Week at The MTC!

Hey everyone! Elder Organ is now in Montana in his area and is doing so GOOD! Yay! Here is his letter for ya'll from his second week in the MTC!!

February 17, 2013

"Dear Family and Friends,

This week has been truly amazing! I only have time to share one thing from this week but it is something that hit me really hard! The Spirit was so strong...

Think about this... personal conversion is mind blowing. In D&C 4:4 it says, "The field is white all ready to harvest." The field honestly is white and very ready. I am so privileged to be a servant of the Lord at this time. Because of modern revelation the mission age just changed, and the work certainly is hastening. Continuing from verse 4, "He that thrusteth in his sickle.." We must thrust and work hard. Salvation does not come easy, it takes hard work but it's more than worth it.

So how big is your field? Think about it humbly, but realize the magnitude of your own personal conversion. Who will your personal conversion effect? If we bring just one soul unto Christ, how many generations would follow? Think of the thousands that can be effected just by the one soul that you bring. Take a look at the big picture. An amazing metaphor for all of this is, "You can count the seeds in the apple, but you cannot count the apples from the seed." Be like the three 18 year old boys that stepped into that icy river to save so many pioneers. Take the steps of courage, not only for your investigators, but for you, your friends, your family, and all that you can bring unto Christ. Do it for the millions. Because the field is white.. Cross that Icy River. These are the thoughts I was able to take from my lesson last night in class. It is so much to ponder and think about! How big is our field? Think about it!

I am so thankful for my experience here at the MTC and feel I have really grown spiritually in just 2 weeks, I am so blessed! I am so thankful for this opportunity and am so stoked to get on that plane for Montana on Tuesday! I am out of time but until next week..

I am thankful for all of you! Thank you for the love and support!

Love you all!

Elder Organ"

Elder Organ's First Week At The MTC!

Hey all you Elder Organ supporters! Sorry it's taken a week to get this first letter posted! Elder Organ leaves in just a few days to Montana! How exciting right?! He is doing GREAT and is loving every minute. Here is his first week in his own words!

February 9, 2013

"Hello family and friends!

I have a quick minute to send you an email and tell you some things about how this week is going! Wednesday, Feb 6th about 9am I was dropped off here at the MTC and you are immediately thrown into the work. After lunch we went to meetings, I got assigned my companion, Elder Jackson who is from Hurrican, UT and then we started classroom instruction which happens in 3 hour blocks, so we met our teachers and had our first class. We had other meetings that taught us about how things work here and how to be a missionary! Then before we knew it, it was 9:30pm and we went back where we just have personal quiet time and hit the sack at 10:30. This is how pretty much each day goes with 6 to 8 hours of instruction, we have zone trainings, we do a lot of role playing with teaching investigators and such. Everything we do is preparing us for "out there" and the Spirit is there no matter the activity, it is so awesome to be growing each day! I am working hard to become converted to my purpose and more converted to Christ so I can be more prepared to invite others unto Christ in Montana.

The food is usually pretty good and it is all you can eat haha which is great! Oh about my district, we are an "all elders district" so 12 of us elders make up our district and we will be going with 4 other elders and 4 sisters all together to Billings on a 9am flight Feb 19th. We are the first group ever of 2 week missionaries, we have 13 days here so 9 more to go after today. It started snowing yesterday and has been snowing off and on since, it is snowing outside right now. Today is Saturday and our P-day so we did laundry, been relaxing, writing letters, cleaning and after this we get to go to the temple!

I really appreciate all of everyone's love and support! Yesterday at lunch was the first time we got mail in our district and it was pretty funny...I was like Elder Vanpelt from the movie, The Best Two Years...where he gets all the mail, haha I don't say that to be boastful, it just really means a lot to me, my 1st time getting mail and I had over 10 letters from dearelder.com and written letters! It really shows how much love and support I really have in my life which means sooo much to me! I will email or write back as often as time permits but I know that I am now on the Lord's time and must use it wisely! So again thank you all so much!

I know that I am so blessed to be out here! I really am loving it and know I am where I am supposed to be. I have been called as a servant of God and am working hard to give Him my absolute best! This is God's work, this is the true church, Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Jesus Christ and our prophet today truly is Pres. Monson! Jesus Christ did atone for our sins and it is through His sacrifice only that we can repent and return to live with our loving Heavenly Father. I am so blessed, life is great! Thank you again!

Until next time-

Love, Elder Aaron Organ"

Doesn't he just sound awesome??! I love that kid and I know all of you do too! Let's continue to show him all of our love and support for his last two days at the MTC! You can still get DearElder letters to him tomorrow and Monday but be sure that on Monday they are all sent before NOON here in Utah otherwise he will not get them. After that, DearElder can still be used but the information you have to punch in will be different. I'll get the new mission code and all that posted soon.

I can't thank you all enough for the love and support you're giving Elder Organ and I know he's indescribably grateful as well! Keep it up ya'll!

Dear Elder Organ (He Reported Today!)

Hey ya'll! Elder Organ was dropped off at the curb in front of the Provo, Utah MTC today! Well, that's how I picture it in my head. I'm sure its not as lonely or drab looking in reality, perhaps there's a rainbow over the MTC every reporting day. You know, like a, "Good luck and thanks for being here, Love Jesus!" kind of thing...

For those who don't know, the person behind this blog is me. I mean, Rachelle. I'm Rachelle Organ (Steele) and I'm Aaron's Elder Organ's older sister. This blog is going to be a place where you all can keep up with Elder Organ's mission news, transfers, crazy companions, letters he wants me to type up for all of you....

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL FOLKS!

If there are ever any letters that you all think would be fun to commemorate here, send them to me via Facebook or email them to me, and I'll post them! (rachelleorgan [at] gmail [dot] com)

Why? Because in 2 years, when Elder Organ's mission has been honorably and extraordinarily served, this blog with all of its fun news and stories of crazy companions, pictures, and letters will be made into one awesome Mission Scrapbook!!

Yay for all the letters ya'll are gonna send to me! Now this is any letters you guys send him through DearElder and later on if Elder Organ gives you his mission email address.

Here's the easy peasy directions about using DearElder I posted this morning on Facebook in case some of you didn't see it.

"Hey everyone!! Elder Aaron John Organ reported to the MTC this morning!! He needs LETTERS!! It takes maybe 5 minutes to get onto DearElder.com and get one sent off. You get onto the site and create an account (SUPER EASY!), then select that you want to 'Write a Letter'. When it gives you the option for the MISSION, choose PROVO MTC! It will ask for the Elders name (Elder Aaron Organ), the MTC BOX # (69), and estimated MTC LEAVE DATE (February 20). Write your letter and send! He will have his letters printed and delivered at NOON today so get on it!! Lets flood him with love and support! Ready.... GO!!"

These instructions are all you should need to send a letter through DearElder and while he's in the MTC, be sure to select Provo MTC. That is only good through the 19th of February and after that, select Montana Billings Mission. Those ones are printed and mailed to him so they do require paying postage buts its such a fast, easy way to send him letters and I for one am excited to use their Care Package services!

Now for the first letter entry... Mine! Sent off bright and early before I took of for work. I wanted to be sure my baby brother got some of my love!

Elder Organ!

So weird to type that but its official, you're a missionary! And guess what? You're gonna be incredible! I'm missing you already but I can't tell you how proud I am of you. You're my baby brother but you're the one that sets such a great example and the one I feel is my "big brother". Not because you're huge, but its how I see you. You're my hero and I'm so lucky to have you! I hope your day yesterday was awesome, going to the temple with everyone and I hope today wasn't too bad saying, "See ya later" to mom and dad. Did you make mom cry again ;)? I'm so excited for you and can't wait to start hearing from you and all the great things you're going to be doing and seeing! Stay safe Butch! Know that you are never away from my thoughts.

I love you!!

Rachelle

Now it's your turn!!

And He's Off!!

Elder Organ was set apart last night which made him a real-deal, super official, no more hugs allowed missionary!! This morning he hit the road with his parents Terry and Renae and should be arriving in Provo, Utah sometime in the early evening. His report date is February 6th which means he'll be itchin' for some letters! He will only be at the MTC for 13 days and the mail service is pretty unpredictable so he requested that I share this with all of you!

"Hey!

For those wanting to write me (Elder Aaron Organ) while I am in the MTC, it is easiest to use DearElder.com. This resource is awesome! Just go to DearElder.com, follow the prompts to sign in with your email address or make a new account, type in "Elder Aaron Organ" and "Montana Billings Mission", then follow the links to send me a letter! The letter goes right to the MTC and will be printed and delivered to me the same day you send it! This will work the best, especially since I am only here for a short amount of time (February 6th to the 20th). This is also a way you can send me letters once I am in Montana but it does require you to pay for postage online before it is printed out and sent. Just some helpful information for all of you awesome family, friends, and supporters BUT I would love to get some hand written letters the old fashion way too! :)"

Elder Organ's address for the MTC is:

Elder Aaron John Organ
MTC Mailbox #69
MT-BIL 0219 2005 N 900 E
Provo, UT 84604-1793

Now here are a few pictures of Elder Organ as he finished packing last night and said "See you later" to his two pilot headsets. He was sad to put them on a shelf for the next two years but knows its going to be worth it!

Make sure you all are following the blog and have liked the Elder Aaron John Organ Facebook page!!

We love you Elder Organ!
