Service, Sore Legs, and Wicked Wind!!

April 29, 2013

Hello everyone!

This week was full of serving people by cleaning out sheds, doing yard work, and moving people to a new home. Lots of physical work on top of riding our brand new bikes, 10 plus miles a day! It all results in my body being very sore! I am really getting whipped into shape....10 miles on a bike per day doesn't sound bad but the hills here are killer! Imagine riding a bike to Payson, AZ from PHX... Those are the kind of hills we ride in between these little towns we serve in, but its good for me and all a part of the adventure!

This week we met with Sherry twice and had good lessons but she isn't really progressing like we had hoped. We will continue to pray about what she needs and how we can best guide her in her journey but sometimes it just comes down to the fact that you can't have that desire for anyone else.

We had a lesson set up with Valery upon her return from vacation but when we went she answered and said she was super sick and to try again later, so we hope to see her this week.

Another update on a past name I have mentioned is Kirk... He was the one that we had on baptismal date back in March, his health declined extremely fast and that's why he stopped meeting with us. He couldn't meet with us because he was in such intense pain that he just couldn't concentrate. Well he got test results back this week and his back is broken above the 2 rods, hardware, and bone fusion already in his back. This next week he is going into surgery for his shoulder and then as he heals from that they will set up surgery for his broken back. So we are praying for him! He has a 14 year old son who says he is open to lessons so we hope to meet with him this week.

We had a branch breakfast on Saturday that we had invited a lot of people to and we had Ute and Stephan show up which was a huge surprise! We had been teaching Ute back in Feb and beginning of March but she dropped us. Well we stopped by this past week and invited them and had a good conversation with them. They came to the breakfast and had a good time!

The weather this past week has been in the 60's and sunny but with some wicked wind! Today is raining hard with expected winds up to 60 MPH! That makes bike riding rough ;) Haha but the weather is always unpredictable. Ya never know, part of the adventure!

So the mission here in Lakeside Montana presses on, another week ahead!

Until next time my dear friends and family...
