Snow, Shovel The Snow, More Snow...

January 6, 2014

Hello Family and Friends!

Hope you all had a fun and good New Years celebration and that you are all doing well!

This week had its ups and downs, most of the beginning of the week I was pretty sick and down but when I woke up January 1st, 2014 I finally was feeling good enough to get back out there! :) So the last part of the week was good.

We did a lot of service for people by shoveling a lot of snow on Friday morning. Then it snowed all day with out stopping so that afternoon we shoveled more snow, then it snowed all night so Saturday morning again we were out shoveling, annnnnnd..... it continued to snow! So we shoveled some more Saturday afternoon but then the snow stopped and the storm cleared out but left it in the negatives again.

Amongst all the service we got a lot of teaching in this week and a great lesson with one of our investigators C---- L---- who is looking at a date for baptism in the beginning of February. C----- is awesome and I love to see his progress as he continues to learn and continue on the path to the gate of baptism.

We had some good lessons with new Less Actives we hope to be working with and we continue to search for more people who are prepared for the unique message of the Restoration.

I bear you my testimony of that very message... I know Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ, they answered his question and told him to prepare himself for the Restoration of Christ's church. I know the priesthood, the authority to act in God's name, was restored and by that authority and under the direction of God himself the church of Jesus Christ was restored! I know the Book of Mormon is evidence of this very restoration. I invite all who may be lacking is testimony or who are searching for truth to put the promise of James 1:5 to the test, the scripture states, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally and abraideth not, and it shall be given him." If you are lacking wisdom or in other words if you are searching for the truth then read the Book of Mormon and pray and ask God if it is true, if it really is the words of God. James 1:6 "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering..." You must ask in faith, open your heart, put it to the test and I testify to you that if you do then you can receive an answer by the power of the Holy Ghost. I testify to you the Book of Mormon is the word of God, it is another witness of Jesus Christ and because it is true, Joseph Smith was and is a true prophet and restored the Church of Jesus Christ and that the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints is God's kingdom here on earth!

I leave you my solemn witness of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Happy New Year!

December 30, 2013

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a great Christmas Day this past week and that you will all have a fun and happy New Years! I want to thank everyone who sent me a Christmas package or letter, it made me feel loved for sure so thank you for remembering me!

I am thankful for all the time I had Skyping with my family, I sure love all of you so much, it was great to see each of you!

C---- Pe----  (name withheld for privacy reasons) was baptized this week! He is such a smart kid and has taught me a lot as we have been able to teach him and his parents the lessons. He has a sweet Spirit and it was my privilege to confirm him a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was all a wonderful experience and I am so proud of him for making the decision to be baptized and be the example to his family. It was awesome!

We had another baptism of Jo------- L--- this past weekend which was also a great experience, we didn't teach him at all but did have the privilege and blessing of getting to know him through a baptismal interview and being involved in his baptismal service. So this week was great as I witnessed 2 people make sacred covenants with their Heavenly Father and come up out of the water completely clean.

That is what this gospel is all about, making and then keeping our covenants or promises with our Heavenly Father! I know as we endure to the end we will know ultimate happiness. I know that dreams come true and there is a "happily ever after", it is all made possible through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I invite all to come unto Christ and know that happiness.

Thank you all of you for everything you do, love each of you and pray for you!

Merry Christmas!

December 23, 2013

Merry Christmas Everybody!

First off I would like to start with a pretty funny story that happened last week and I forgot to tell you all about it! So picture this... 3 missionaries get out of an appointment, they have 20 minutes until their next appointment but a 35 minute drive to that very appointment. So they run to the car, front door opens and closes, the driver sits down and starts the car, as he is buckling his seat belt the passenger door opens and closes, one of his companions sits beside him and begins to buckle. The driver and the passenger both hear the back door open, then close. Both missionaries in the front seat assume their third companion is in the back seat and so the driver puts it in gear, pulls forward, turns the car around and leaves the home quickly to get off the muddy road and onto the pavement towards town to get to the next appointment as quickly as possible.

The Elder in the driver seat says, "Well Elders how do you feel that lesson went?" The missionary in the front seat begins to share his feelings on the lesson when the blue tooth phone begins to ring and an unknown number appears on the screen. The driver answers the phone by pushing a button on his steering wheel and says, "Hello this is Elder Organ" ...the voice on the other end of the line says, "You left your missionary!!" The Elders in the car: "What!?"  Voice: "You left your companion here at the house!"  HAHAHAHA!!! Elder Wyatt and I just busted out laughing as we turned and saw that yes indeed Elder Doyle was not in the back seat! He had opened his door and tossed his backpack in but had not gotten into the car due to the fact that he thought I would need a backer. It was pretty funny, we all laugh about it often but now each time we get in the car we do role call... no joke! Haha!

This week has been a busy one but another great one! We were extremely busy this week with a lot of meetings. Tuesday evening we had a Zone dinner with our Stake President and then a few of us had a meeting with him following the dinner and devotional they do for all of us. Then Wednesday early morning we drove to Helena for Mission Leadership Council which was an all day meeting, drove home, turned around and drove back out to Cascade for a lesson, got home and went to bed. Got up super early Thursday morning and drove with our whole Zone back down to Helena in the snow to get to the Christmas Zone Conference. The Christmas Zone Conference was amazing, we had a ton of fun, many laughs, great activities, life changing talks and the Spirit was so strong, it was a great Christmas present from the mission.

There we got letters from home in a Christmas gift bag. Thank you to all my dear family who all wrote heart felt letters back in October and they got to me as a Christmas gift. Thank you, I love you all.

Friday-Sunday was catch up on visiting people and lessons. We are working with some great people! Cameron P- an investigator who is 10 years old we have been teaching is getting baptized this Saturday night and we are super excited for him. He and his parents are awesome people and they are a blast to teach. Another great guy we teach a lot is Casey L- and he is an amazing man who has a sincere desire to follow his Savior Jesus Christ and he is looking to be baptized in January or February sometime. So the work is really progressing in both units we cover here and we have a vision for the units and our Zone, I am super excited about it!

Luke Chapter 2:8-14 talks about the humble shepherds abiding in their fields by night and the angel appearing to them, telling them about the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ and then in verse 15 & 16 it says the Shepherds went straightway and they went with haste. My dear brothers and sisters it is my hope and prayer we can all go with haste unto Christ the Lord, learn of him, gain a testimony of him and his gospel then go again with haste to rescue those who are in need of the gospel! I love being a missionary, I love being able to bring people "good tidings of great joy". I know Jesus Christ was born there in Bethlehem in very humble circumstances, that he grew in body and in spirit and went about fulfilling the very thing he was sent here to do. I know Christ is our Savior and I know as we come unto him then we will know true peace.

I love each of you so much and pray for all of you!

I wish you all a Merry CHRISTmas!

Love, Elder Organ

P.S. Here are some random pictures of my companions Elder Wyatt and Elder Doyle and myself. As well as some pics with Santa and his elves who showed up at Christmas Zone Conference... Santa and the Elves are the 3 Assistants to the President haha!
